Useful Links and Reference Documents

  • World Health Organization (WHO) document:
Water Treatment and Pathogen Control, a lengthy PDF document.

  • Viqua (pronounced "Veequa"), the manufacturer of the UV purification system.

  • FreshWater Systems, the distributor we chose for the UV systems (see why, below).

  • Living in Faith, the organization in Tampa that designed and provided the filtration systems.

  • Viqua UVMAX User manual, in English - and - in Spanish (Spanish was hard to find)

  • UVMAX Reference Cards:
The Spanish translation of the Reference Card was provided by Mr. Guillermo Gonzalez, Viqua field rep in Mexico City, and was formatted using Photoshop. The front and back of the cards are positioned such that they can be placed back-to-back, trimmed to fit behind the UVMAX controller, and laminated.

  • Final Christ Church Exeter inventory: inventory spreadsheet. This spreadsheet can be sorted either by container (as shown) or by system. Because we needed to keep the weight of each container under 50 pounds (for the flight from Boston to Miami), entire systems could not be placed all in one shipping case.

  • Part numbers: shopping cart (this is one UV system) for the UVMAX D4-Plus systems which we purchased from the distributor FreshWater Systems. We chose this distributor because they had everything in stock, and they answered their phone when we called with questions. This was not the case with some other distributors.

Ancillary fixtures such as valves, filter housings, unions, gauges, etc. were purchased in a local plumbing supply house, and are listed on the inventory spreadsheet, above.

  • UVMAX D4-Plus Installation Photo, showing all of the fittings and their layout for one complete UVMAX D4-Plus system.

  • Click here: design modifications, for the modifications we made to the UVMAX design.
